Whether a volunteer member of your community program or part of your corporate workplace team, you need equipment you can count on. There are some that like to put there own packs together. This takes time, and unnecessary expense. Specially, counting your valuable time to travel, gather then assemble it. These packs are designed by professionals for you. Attention to details has not been spared.
Example would be your flashlight. Is it intrinsically safe? Most think any kind would do with out regard to safe handling. Here's the big mistake. Most flashlights are not MSHA or nonincendive rated like the one listed here. A flashlight without this rating stands a good chance of causing great harm. Most flashlights do not come with a spark free switch like those that are rated nonincendive. Important? Picture this, you have an event that requires your attention. It's dark, you pull out your flashlight, switch it on igniting the gas cloud you did not know was around you. The rated flashlight will not spark and will not ignite this odorless, tasteless, blind gas cloud. They cost a little more, but what's your life worth? Go nonincendive, stay part of the solution and not become a problem when you are needed most.
